Description
Windows 11 Home is the edition of Windows 11 made for personal use, study and gaming. It includes the full modern Windows 11 experience: the redesigned Start menu, Snap layouts for multitasking, virtual desktops, Widgets, the Microsoft Store and Microsoft Edge.
For gaming, Windows 11 Home supports DirectX 12 Ultimate, Auto HDR and DirectStorage for faster loading on supported hardware, along with the Xbox app. For security, it includes Windows Security antivirus and firewall, Windows Hello face or fingerprint sign-in, and device encryption on supported devices.
Gaming and everyday performance are the same on Home and Pro. Choose Home if you do not need business features such as BitLocker, Remote Desktop hosting, Hyper-V or Group Policy. You can upgrade to Windows 11 Pro later with a Pro key, without reinstalling.
Windows 11 is fully supported by Microsoft with regular updates. Check your PC first: Windows 11 requires TPM 2.0, Secure Boot and a supported 64-bit processor, and setting up Home requires an internet connection and a Microsoft account. Microsoft’s free PC Health Check app shows whether your PC is compatible.
