Microsoft Office 2024 Professional Plus is the newest one-time-purchase version of Office for Windows, released in October 2024. It gives you the full desktop versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and Access, installed on your PC and ready to use offline, with no monthly or yearly subscription.

Compared with earlier versions, Office 2024 brings a refreshed design that matches Windows 11, faster performance with large documents and workbooks, and improved accessibility tools. Excel adds modern functions such as IMAGE, TEXTSPLIT, VSTACK and HSTACK, alongside dynamic arrays and XLOOKUP, which make data work faster and formulas easier to read.

Office 2024 is also the only one-time Office version that Microsoft still supports: it receives security updates until October 9, 2029. Office 2021, 2019 and 2016 still work, but they no longer receive security fixes. If you want a perpetual Office license for the next several years, Office 2024 is the safest choice.

This product is a Volume license (Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024). It activates one Windows PC, online or by phone, and is not transferable once activated. It is not linked to a Microsoft account. Installation uses Microsoft’s free Office Deployment Tool, and your WhatsApp delivery message includes the download and step-by-step instructions.

Good to know: Publisher is not included in Office 2024, because Microsoft is retiring it. Teams is a separate free download. Office 2024 runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10, in 32-bit or 64-bit.

Installation instructions

1. Uninstall other Office versions first, including preinstalled Microsoft 365 trials, to avoid conflicts.
2. Volume editions of Office 2024 are installed with Microsoft’s free Office Deployment Tool rather than from office.com. Your WhatsApp delivery message includes the download and step-by-step instructions.
3. Run the installation and wait until it finishes. Keep the PC connected to the internet.

Activation instructions

1. Open any Office app, such as Word.
2. When prompted, or from File › Account › Change Product Key, enter your 25-character key.
3. Select Activate. If online activation fails, the Activation Wizard offers phone activation.
